The first time I went to THCF in Bellevue was late February of this year. I dropped off my medical records, and was told if I wanted to wait, my records would be looked over right now to see if they could help me. I sat on a comfy couch and flipped through a free medical marijuana newspaper. Ten minutes later I was told I was approved, and made an appointment to come back early March. When I went for my appointment, I was surprised how many people were in the waiting area. They copied my I.D. and I signed a couple papers, and was told to wait. My name was called, and I went into the payment office. Since I am considered low-income, I showed her my medical coupon and it only cost $150 instead of $200. I was told (very quickly) some info about how much I could have, how many plants, etc. I was then brought into a room with a nurse, and my blood pressure was taken. I was asked some health questions, and a few questions about my condition. The nurse wrote everything down, and I went back to the waiting room. My name was called a final time, and I went into the doctor’s office (office with a desk). The doctor asked me a few questions, signed my form and gave me sage advice; “Don’t be stupid” The whole process took about an hour and a half. I wished the actual “exam” was a bit more thorough, but I understand when dealing with people who have this great range of health concerns, it’s best to “interfere” as little as possible with your primary care physician. I just felt the price was a bit high for such a minimally invasive procedure.

The ratio of money paid to examination received was too great, even with discount.

I had a great experience at the THCF as well! The process moved pretty quickly and although staff was trying to process me quickly (for my benefit and to the benefit of others waiting) but all staff was willing to take the time to answer my questions and I felt like they wanted me to leave with as much knowledge as possible. The staff was friendly and the nurse spent extra time with me and gave me a lot of information about some of my medical issues. The doctor didn't spend a lot of time with and was no invasive but they see a lot of people and I understand the appointment is non-invasive because they use the medical records I brought in…The price was okay considering I got a lot of resources, saw an RN and an MD and received a year long permit (I assume it takes a lot to keep these clinics running-paying all the staff and paying the bills, plus I heard the THCF is the sole sponser for hempfest!) Anyway, worth the money in my eyes… I did unfortunately have some legal issues and the Dr. (with the help of a subpoena) showed up and thankful the charges were dropped!!! Thank you to the THCF for being a solid advocate and doing what they can when they can, it is appreciated by most!
